The ACO Directory of ADHD Coaches - a Member Benefit

As part of our commitment to our values of Community, Excellence, Education, and Advocacy, the ACO offers the Directory of ADHD Coaches both as a service to members of the public seeking an ADHD coach and as a service to our members as a way to generate client leads and build their practices.  See details below.

There are approximately 700 individuals coming to our site and searching the Directory each week to find an ADHD coach, and we offer members of ACO a choice between two profile types to communicate what you offer to your coaching clients:

1. Standard Listing: All ACO members in good standing who are a trained coach with professional experience working with ADHD clients and who have had ADHD-specific training or education are eligible to be listed in the directory. 
2. "Professional ADHD Coach" Listing:  In alignment with our values of ADHD coaching Excellence and Education, the ACO will continue to recognize ADHD Coaches with advanced training and education by applying a designation as a "Professional ADHD Coach" to their directory listing.  This is not a certification in itself, but rather it recognizes existing certifications and training or education.

Please Note:  If you have already had your credentials reviewed and are currently listed in the Directory, you will automatically receive this Professional ADHD Coach designation on your profile.  However, to remain in the directory, you will need to ensure your profile is complete.  You can use this form to update your listing.  Use this link to update your profile picture. Expanded and Required Profile Content

We have added several new fields to better help members of the public find the right coach and to help you - our members - better market and differentiate your practice.  We are also giving members a choice as to which contact methods (website, email, phone) will be listed in the Directory.  And as part of our commitment to Excellence, we will now require all member profiles listed in the ACO Directory of ADHD Coaches to be complete, which means the following attributes must be populated:

1. Photo (a professional-looking headshot is strongly preferred)
2. Full name (The name you use professionally and in your marketing materials, without special characters)*
3. Location (only City, State, Country will be displayed in the Directory)
4. Contact method - at least one of the following must be populated:
1. Email (Directory Email) - only the email in this field will be published in the directory
2. Phone (Directory Phone) - only the phone in this field will be published in the directory
3. Website
5. Specialties (at least one selected)
6. Coaching Formats (at least one selected)
7. Member Bio
8. Education, Training & Certifications

*Please note: Special characters, initials, or other additions or modifications to your name that serve to change how your listing shows up in the directory sort are not permitted and will be considered a violation of our Standards and Expectations for Members. 

Members already listed in the Directory:  Use this form to update the fields on your profile.   Do not use this form to apply to be listed.

If we see that your Directory profile is incomplete, we will notify you and ask that you add the necessary information.  If you fail to make your profile complete within 30 days, we will remove your profile from the Directory.  If you have any challenges in completing your profile, we are here to help - just get in touch with us at [email protected].

Standard Listing

Any member in good standing who attests that they are 1) a trained coach with professional experience working with ADHD clients and 2) have had ADHD-specific training or education may apply to be listed in the ACO Directory of ADHD Coaches with no additional fee.  A member who wishes to have a standard listing in the directory will need to do the following:

1. Ensure your profile is complete (see required content above).
2. Apply to be listed in the directory using the form listed below.  This form will notify a staff member or board member who will review your profile for completeness and post your profile to the Directory.

Professional ADHD Coach Listing

To be listed in the Directory with the Professional ADHD Coach label, which will appear next to the member’s name, member coaches must demonstrate they have met the following requirements (which are largely the same as our prior requirements to be listed in the Directory):

1. Coaching-specific training (60 hours) as well as
2. ADHD-specific coach training (25-35 hours, depending on the path selected). 

There is a $50 fee required to cover the cost of staff reviewing the member’s credentials. 

Please Note: Members who have been previously had their credentials reviewed and who have been listed in the Directory do not need to reapply, but they do need to update their profile to be complete based on the new “completeness” requirements above.
